AESS COLOMBIA celebrates Day of the inventor in memoriam of the birthday of Hedy Lamarr on November 9 (1914).

Hedy Lamarr, well knowed as " the most beautiful woman in the world" by Hollywood, was an outstanding inventor. She invented the "Secret communication system" actually knwowed as Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS), a method of transmitting radio signals by rapidly changing the carrier frequency among many distinct frequencies occupying a large spectral band. This system have been used in remote control of torpedoes and mobil telephony.
